»The moment you create a beautiful sound, all your efforts have been worthwhile«, says Michael Barenboim. The soloist and chamber musician on the violin and viola, ensemble founder, concertmaster, and professor at the Barenboim-Said Academy is firmly established on the international concert scene. With a great love for music from a wide variety of eras, Michael Barenboim keeps his musical spirit alive. He demonstrates what such a musical awakening can sound like together with his Nasmé Ensemble in Ludwigsburg. For this epoch-making bridge-building, the Palestinian artists begin with Salvador Arnita, the pioneer of Palestine’s musical renaissance, and conclude with the work of Syrian-American composer Kareem Roustom. In between, the cheerful accents of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart from the Viennese Classical period entertain, while Giovanni Bottesini transports us into the breathtaking world of the double bass. The musical spirit is awakened as if by a light »Nasmé« (English: breeze).
