For more than three decades, the lautten compagney BERLIN has fascinated audiences with its infectious joy of playing and innovative concepts. Under the artistic direction of Wolfgang Katschner, the compagney is considered one of the most renowned and creative German baroque ensembles. In their award-winning CD recordings, they combine epochal bridge-building and exciting repertoire combinations, for which they were most recently awarded an OPUS Klassik in the category »Ensemble/Orchestra« in 2019. Musical theatre is also one of their passions; they have been an annual guest at the Halle Handel Festival since 2004. The lautten compagney BERLIN regularly invites its audiences to experience classical music in a new way and overcome barriers to perception – in Ludwigsburg, they do this together with the Calmus Ensemble.
