The celebrated open-air concert series enters its third round this season and has become an integral part of the Ludwigsburg Festival. Described and appreciated by many as a place with a special Italian flair, Ludwigsburg's market square, located in the heart of the city, is considered a popular meeting place for encounters and inner-city exchanges. The perfect location to let the music play in a relaxed atmosphere. Every Friday from 6 p.m., members of the Festival Orchestra and many other artists turn the square into their stage for a good half hour and offer a musical foray through all genres – from classical to electro. The kick-off event on 5 May is literally out of the ordinary, inviting everyone who is curious to get the market square rocking with a joint »Dabke Community Dance«. Note: In case of rain, »Frei Luft Musik« will take place in the Evangelische Stadtkirche Ludwigsburg, located directly on the market square.
