Whether intimate love songs from England, German and French art songs or popular cheerfulness: Benjamin Appl knows how to shine in many emotional situations and genres – and to put together exciting concert programmes. Together with the French lutenist Thomas Dunford, he devotes himself to songwriters between the 16th century and today and presents their versatility. Dunford sensitively picks up on the different moods and complements the programme with solo works by Johann Sebastian Bach.
