Born in 1984 in Merano, Italy, percussionist Philipp Lamprecht began his studies in 2003 with Prof. Dr Peter Sadlo at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. Regular collaborations with composers from all over the world and performances of works for mallet instruments, multi-percussion and non-European instruments characterise Lamprecht's musical life. As a member of various ensembles for contemporary and historical music, he works mainly in the field of chamber music and realises his solo and educational projects. He is currently working with recorder player Anne-Suse Enßle on a complete performance of the works of the anonymous Salzburg minnesinger »Mönch von Salzburg«. Between 2015 and 2021 Philipp Lamprecht was a lecturer for percussion instruments at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. Since 2018 he has directed the International Paul Hofhaymer Society there.
