Patricia Kopatchinskaja is known for her distinctive approach to music, which includes her sense of theatrics. Born in 1977, the violinist creates and curates innovative concert projects such as »Bye Bye Beethoven« (2016) or »Dies Irae« (2021). Kopatchinskaja provides new listening perspectives interpreting a well-known canon of works as well as representing a broad contemporary repertoire. In the 2020/21 season, she made her debut at the BBC Proms and played with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the SWR Symphony Orchestra as a resident artist. In the current season 2021/22 she is Artist in Residence with the Berliner Philharmoniker as well as Artistic Partner in her current home with the Camerata Bern. In 2022 she will perform her latest staged concert »Les Adieux« in Ludwigsburg, Hamburg, and Berlin.
