The works of Belarusian artist Nadya Sayapina are characterised by a broad interdisciplinarity. Born in 1989, the Belarusian artist combines performance practices, drawings, installations, projections and texts, among other things, to highlight the multi-layered voices of the socially and politically excluded (»others«). After Sayapina was sentenced to 15 days in prison on 7 September 2020 for participating in a collective art action against violence in Minsk, she left Belarus in October and now works in Kiev.
